BRICS Women’s Business Alliance

The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (BRICS WBA) was constituted in July 2020 with the objective of offering a platform to promote women’s economic participation and empowerment by unlocking business opportunities for women entrepreneurs in BRICS countries. BRICS WBA comprises of 25 Women Leaders, 5 each nominated from BRICS countries.

The objective of BRICS WBA is to increase the role and participation of women as drivers of economic growth and ensure expansion of women’s business networks in and among BRICS countries through sharing successful business practices. It further aims to foster bilateral trade between BRICS countries by identifying projects of mutual benefits and unlocking opportunities for advancing business interests of women entrepreneurs in the respective countries.

BRICS WBA will further engage for discussions on innovative development, healthcare, food security & environmental safety, creative industries & tourism and inclusive economy in 2021.
